Accommodation in Nakhon Nayok
Most of the accommodation in Nakon Nayok is in the tourism area in the north of the province. As you drive north along route 3049, you will eventually catch sight of the huge Khlong Tha Dan Dam. When you reach this area, you will start to notice the many small bungalow resorts at the side of the road. As you get closer, you can turn right down many of the small side roads and find basic bungalows from as little as 500 baht a night.
Sida Resort
The best and most famous resort in Nakon Nayok is the Sida Resort. It is next to Nang Rong Waterfall. This is the ideal place to base yourself for a stay in Nakon Nayok. They can arrange trips and guides for any of the local attractions. They also have their own large swimming pool, should you tire of playing in the waterfalls. Other facilities include snooker, fitness room, jogging track, sauna, Thai massage and karaoke. The resort has a wide range of accommodation, including houses for groups up to 8 people. They serve Thai and western food.
How to get There
From Nakon Nayok town, take route 3049 north towards the foothills of Khao Yai and the waterfalls. Keep following the signs to Nang Rong Waterfall and you will find the Sida Resort.
Kao Yai Grandview Resort
If you take a trip to Khao Yai National Park (and you should) then there is camping and basic bungalows within the park. If you want a more comfortable base from which to explore the park, then the Kao Yai Grandview Resort is an ideal location. It is in a picturesque location on route 3077, only 150m before the park gates. It has a swimming pool, tennis courts and mountain bike hire.
Getting There from Nakon Nayok
Take route 33 from Nakon Nayok towards Prachinburi and drive 15km until you reach a traffic circle. The left hand turn is route 3077 towards Khao Yai National Park. The park checkpoint is 15km along route 3077. Kao Yai Grandview Resort is 150m before the gates.
